We are often so fixated by our glass half-empty
We hardly notice other glasses on the table dainty
Some large, some small, some regular, some classy
Simply oblivious of what’s in them, what’s in our kitty

Open your eyes and see others suffer the scarcity
Pour from your glass into those that be more needy
Watch how from one kind act many turn plenty
Then will your glass half-filled with water, be shortly
Replenished with wine to the brim, subtly, aptly.

Ah! “Pour from your glass into those that be more needy”. Wonderful. The imagery’s quite impressive.
Thanks Anwesha
the phrase ‘pour your heart and soul’ always brought up this imagery to me.
You can check out one of my posts A Dance in The Rain. It’s sort of related.
You’re welcome.
